reflections by the pond

Cool, damp,  days of rain bring the desire to make soup.  So I made a big pot of Chili.  There comes that point in finalizing it that  the decision is made as to seasoning.  So I kept it basic this time again; I think it is the way I like it.  But someday, I need to venture into adding things like cinnamon, cumin, pepper flakes....someday.   I am sure everyone has their favorite and that is good.  If all were the same, it would be boring.  What is your favorite?
